What's Next?

Assalamualaikum,

Dear blog,

I have so many things to share right now but , hmm I have no clue where to begin.

Okay let me write in points form.

The things that I wanna share :

1. I've received the details about American Degree Transfer Programme in Taylor's Lakeside and i'll be staying at U-residence! 

U-residence is located in the taylor's lakeside. There are starbucks, subway, pizza hut (if im not mistaken) and a few high class restaurants. As a student, it is considered expensive lah. I need to be very prudent in managing money. 

Hello Taylor's lakeside! Yay ada lake di situ, dah tahu dah port mana best kalau nak release stress . Haha! Tetapi akhirnya, port terbaik adalah dalam bilik dan tidur.

2. Im going to register on July,13. I'm certain that it's going to be tougher ,wayy tougher than SPM . But, Allah has put me there. He is going to help me throughout this programme. He knows best ! Yeah you can do it, Aiza ! 

3. I need to sit for SAT test during the first sem and also TOEFL.  Hoping and praying that I am manage to get into the top Uni in US. Amin..

4. I'm sooo ecstatic because Anis Nat has gotten the offer for Asasi Law in Uitm !! Absolutely that's what she really wanted to do. Go Anis !

what about my upu result ? Alhamdulillah.. Glad to know , pasum :-)

 I wish that i could make the best decison for my own future .. yes my future with you.. Haha awkward! (for you mak and ayah)

5. I just went back from UTP for an event. Cantik sangat library UTP ! And I love making new friends !

Haa itu Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin. He looks very humble. Siap selfie dengan saya. Eh tak! Wefie dengan kami.

Seserians here ! From right, Bsya , mechanical engineering in UTP, Nik husna , economics to UK and me, economics to US insyaAllah!

PNB Written Test

Assalamualaikum.

I have saved this entry in my draft quite so long.

13th April, Wednesday. 9.00-11.30am

I went to Menara Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) in KL after receiving an email from PNB based upon my application for PNB Global scholarship award. I didnt know what to expect because the test was quite tricky and most of the candidates were SPM top scorers (8A+ and above). I wasnt that good. But Alhamdulillah.

Anyway, in 60 minutes we finished the test that had been divided into 3 sections.

1st section: Verbal test

30 questions within 20 minutes.
They gave us different passages and we had to answer True, False or Cannot Say statements based on those passages.

2nd section: Interpreting Data test

18 questions within 20 minutes.
The questions asked involved Maths and were economics-related. It was quite tricky because we have to calculate the turnover profit, the capital growth, the average sales and the list goes on.

3rd section: IQ test (diagrammatical series)

40 questions within 20 minutes.
This section was considered easier than before. But , we needed to think fast as we only had 20 minutes ma..

What I can conclude from PNB written test is that we have to be manageable. The questions were quite long and tricky but I didnt have enough time to think peacefully. Haha

Assalamualaikum

Sebenarnya saya terharu dengan kata-kata kak Maya waktu usrah tadi. Kak Maya kata , setiap kejayaan kita selama ini sebenarnya kerana ada orang yang setia di belakang kita.

Siapa orangnya?

Ya, ibu dan ayah orangnya.

:')

Saya yakin semua ibu dan ayah inginkan yang terbaik dan selalu doakan yang terbaik untuk anak-anak mereka kan.

Kita sebagai anak perlu usaha juga itu yang pasti.

This is only my humble sharing.

Kalau dulu di Seseri, saya suka perhati bagaimana cara kawan kawan pandai ni belajar.

Iyelah, saya makan nasi dm, mereka pun makan nasi dm, apa bezanya saya dengan mereka?

dak dak genius macam kawan saya tu study hard and smart.

Kadang kadang dia belajar dengan mengajar orang lain. Mana taknya semua orang minta dia ajarkan.

Pernah dengar ayat ni tak, "you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with"

Jadi berdampinglah dengan orang-orang yang positif. (Jet jet diri ini positif sangat)

Okay straight forward aje, saya bukanlah pelajar cemerlang gemilang mahupun terbilang. Tetapi sekadar ingin berkongsi kepada yang sudi, amalan atau cara untuk mudah terima ilmu. InsyaAllah.

1. Jaga hubungan dengan Allah , mak ayah dan semua orang.


2. Baca doa sugguh-sungguh setiap kali sebelum belajar.

Antara doa yang saya suka sangat ulang,

"Ya Allah, sinarilah hatiku dengan cahaya petunjukMu sebagaimana Engkau telah menyinari bumi dengan cahaya matahariMu selama-lamanya, wahai Allah Tuhan yang paling penyayang"

Doa biarlah specific. Doa biarlah sebut nama kawan kawan yang banyak bantu kita, yang kita sayang ataupun sesiapa sahaja yang terlintas.

Yakinlah nanti malaikat akan doakan hal yang sama untuk awak.

3. Beritahu hajat kita pada mak dan ayah, mohon mereka doakan hajat kita tercapai.

Doa mak dan ayah untuk anak tiada hijab. Dalam masa yang sama, sebagai anak perlu usaha.


4. Baca, faham, hafal, tulis, terang pada kawan.

Saya jenis yang suka terangkan pada kawan apa yang saya faham. Andai kata penerangan saya tak betul, kawan akan betulkan.

5. Fokus terhadap penerangan cikgu / kawan sewaktu pembentangan.

Setiap kata-kata seorang guru sangat bermakna. Jadi, fokus dan jangan malu bertanya soalan yang relevan kalau tak faham.

6. Elakkan mengumpat cikgu / kawan.

7. Solat sunat Dhuha 2 atau 4 rakaat selalu.

8. Minta orang yang beriman doakan kita.

Jangan malu minta orang lain doakan hajat kita tercapai. Sebab apa kawan kawan ? Sebab dalam banyak banyak doa orang, kita tak tahu doa siapa yang Allah makbulkan terlebih dahulu, kata mutawwif saya waktu buat umrah dulu.

9. Baca Quran everyday. Yes, jadikan ianya satu kewajipan. Kalau free, setiap kali lepas solat fardu, baca at least 1 page berserta maksud.

Al-Quran manual hidup.

Saya suka tampal sticker pada ayat-ayat Al Quran yang saya rasa deep.

Dan yang sweetnya (pun boleh) , bila rasa down je, saya baca balik maksud ayat ayat Quran yang bersticker. Terubat juga kesedihan itu. Ecehh.

10. Bangun awal dan solat sunat dua rakaat sebelum subuh serta tahajjud. (Mencabar bagi saya untuk istiqomah)

11. Baca ayat 82 surah yaasin,
Innamaa amruhu... Kun..(doa).. Fayakun.


"Wahai orang orang yang beriman, jika kamu menolong (agama) Allah, nescaya Dia akan menolongmu dan meneguhkan kedudukanmu"
(47:7)

Ujian Kelayakan Calon Guru (UKCG)

It has been an extremely long time since I last exercise or do some running.

What a sad day...

IPG program ijazah sarjana muda perguruan (PISMP) Physical test was really hard for me.

We had to do 5 tests
1. Ujian BMI
2. Ujian tekan tubi (pumping)
3. Ujian ringkuk tubi separa(5cara)
4. Ujian jangkauan melunjur
5. Bleep test (lari ulang alik 20m) ada level

Written test was okay. Everyone could answer it very well I guess. InsyaAllah.

If only there was no physical test at all..

Saya bukan nak jadi cikgu PJ pun kekeke

That experience made me feel completely terrible in sports.

Since I was in primary school, I didnt involve actively in sports.
while during secondary school, I just play indoor games. Puteri lilin cek ni. Err ? Nope. Sunburn for many times is actually can cause skin cancer based on my reading. So kita berjaga jaga je.

However, I played volleyball for several times during riadah.

Oh how I wish love was like playing volleyball. When I say mine, everyone backs off. Lol

And Before that test, there was a lecturer in IPG kampus ilmu khas cheras sharing his motivational thought. He used to say like this to guys

"kalau nak cari pasangan, cari cikgu. Sebab cikgu banyak masa dan lebih penyayang" .

Haha the girls were tremendously excited to be a teacher including me ! Hikhik

But..

After the physical test, everything has changed.

Redha aje..

Shall I say more ?

Conclusion

If you are good in sports, you are great ! please be proud of yourself.

Petronas YoungStars Day 2016

Assalamualaikum,

Hello there! Alhamdulillah expect the unexpected. Petronas YoungStars Day (PYD) is actually for those who have been shorlisted based on their application to Petronas Education Sponsorship Programme (PESP) 2016. Alhamdulillah i'm so happy and grateful for being shorlisted by Petronas. I'm not saying that im good enough to be there but this entry is mainly published to share my experience during the PYD 2016. Thank you Petronas!

PYD 2016 was held at KDU University College and Taylor's Uni. I went to KDU University College on 4th April. As I entered the hall at level 3A for registration , I had cold feet ! All the candidates came with their pretty-smart-outfit-of-the-day. I was wearing my simple baju kurung. But that' was not a big deal tho. At my right side was Saserian. But he looked very quiet. So we didnt talk much. Luckily I met Anis Dayana :)

1st Stage

2nd Stage (during PYD)

Cambridge Personal Styles Questionnaire (CPSQ)

an assessment for behavioural styles. Honesty is the best policy right? So just be honest during this test. 40 minutes to answer all the questions and we cannot return back to the previous page. The candidates were divided into 10 groups for 10 computer labs as well. Each group was around 20 candidates.

 AND 

Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA)

Basically TSA is a test of critical thinking (English comprehension) and problem solving skills (calculation). This test consists of 40 questions and we were allocated about 90 minutes to answer all the questions.

Frankly speaking, the TSA was a bit tricky to me. I can say that 2/3 the questions I hentam dengan lafaz Bismillah. I didnt expect to be qualified for the 3rd stage which was an interview session with Petronas leaders. If I fail this stage, I can go home early. Somehow, alhamdulillah I passed this stage.

3rd Stage (during PYD)

We were divided into new groups. Around 5 or 4 candidates in each group. We were given a case study about something to do with Petronas sales. 15 minutes were given to each candidate to jot down our ideas. We were not allowed to discuss with our groupmate.

After that, we were ushered to the respective interview room. We used to introduce ourselves to our beautiful and charming panelists. Amboi bodek ke ni? Oh yeah there were two panelists for each group.

We presented our innovative ideas in less than 5 minutes. The panelists allowed us to speak either in malay or english. But I prefer to use English.

We then proceed to a proactive group discussion for 30 minutes. We needed to choose the best idea based on the presentation by our groupmates to be implemented by Petronas.

Alhamdulillah surprisingly they chose my idea.

I went back home from KDU university college , Shah Alam at 6pm after finishing the interview session. Thank you to my beloved father and sister for accompanied me to the awesome PYD 2016.

The results will be announced by 15th April according to our panelists.

MARA interview

Assalamualaikum

Alhamdulillah for this golden opportunity. Before attending mara interview, I have attended Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN)- overseas scholarship for accounting as well but I didnt put high hope on that. YTN interview was conducted individually. It was quite santai questions but they were actually trying to psycho me I guess. I couldnt tell the exact format for ytn iv because it depends on the interviewers or the panelists. In my case, they didnt ask me about TNB , otherwise they asked me based on what I have answered during the personality test that has been conducted before entering the interview session.

Okay let me share a little experience for MARA Interview. First of all, the candidates should answer online psychometrics test. Something bad has happened to me while answering the test. We needed to answer 100 questions in 1 hour. The questions were mixed in languages. Malay and english. But mostly the questions were in english. Skop soalan seperti berikut,

1- kenegaraan
2- IQ test
3- personality test
4- a little bit about mara
5- morality

Personality questions were easy but try to be consistent with your answers. That was my brother's advice. Jawablah macam diri kita suci gila kan. Haha I used to recall all form 5 history chapters. Semangat kan? Huhu IQ test tu ada je saya hentam. Alhamdulillah I managed to answer all the questions given but I didnt click the submit button. I thought that I still got enough time to go through all the questions again but hehe suddenly , 'time's out'.

On that time, I was like gelap sudah masa depanku. Masih ada harapan ke nak pergi perancis ?!!

Awh baby dont cry. 

 I couldnt sleep peacefully on that night. Plus my friend received different slip after clicking the submit button. Dahla saya dapat slip program pinjaman mara lepasan spm 2014. Huh ? I called my neighbour who is currently working with mara. Alhamdulillah he said that "everything is going to be okay." I have to just focus on the interview as long as my answers have been saved. But please dont be like me. Acah banyak masa je berbaki kan nak semak. Learn from my mistake.

Done with psychometric test. I went to Kolej Mara Banting for the interview on saturday morning. Basically, the candidates were divided into two respective groups, medic and non-medic. So I joined the non medic group. For each group consists of eight members and no boys in my group. We needed to go through two checkpoints during the interview session. The faci kindly reminded us to use fully english during the interview session.

The first checkpoint was mainly to test our general knowledge. Each of us received an A4 paper. The topic was about Value Of Ringgit. There was a graph about the price of crude oil in USD. We needed to give our professional views on that issue. We were given 10minutes to discuss in a group and 10minutes for presentation. The 3 panelists were judging us throughout the session.

Alhamdulillah everyone in my group managed to give their opinion and speak out during the discussion and presentation as well. 

The second checkpoint was much interesting, mainly to test our critical thinking skills. The panelists were really cheerful. It was like a game. We divided into another two groups. So overall we had four members in a group. We have to find out eight items in that room. After that, we created a new product by using those items. Next, we exchanged our product with another group. We presented the other group's product based on what we think or observe. Daripada easy travel product jadi dining set sebab idea kita berbeza. The colors of ideas.

After finishing the task, the panelists used to ask us a few questions such as:

• Why mara should send students to study abroad since the economy is doing bad?  
• What is your greatest strength? 
• Why do you want to study overseas?

 The panelists will point to anyone to answer those questions according to our id/number (eg:K7).

Be the first person to volunteer for answering the question if the panelists didn't point to anyone.

Oh yeah, we wore sports attire during the interview. Make sure berlatih berlari 400m untuk ujian fizikal okay. Nak pergi belajar di luar negara kena fit fizikal dan mental kan. 

Actually there was no physical test at all. They just wanted the students to feel more comfortable and enjoy during the interview session.

I'm hoping and praying for the best. Ya Allah perbetulkan niatku ini. I have done my best and let Allah do the rest.

 Tips : cakap depan cermin, cakaplah dengan kawan and family dalam bahasa inggeris. I used to practise like an interview session with my beloved brother and my neighbour, auntie Pat who is an english lecturer. Huhu hendak seribu daya tak hendak seribu dalih. 

Walaupun saya belum tentu dapat fly under mara tapi ini sekadar perkongsiaan pengalaman.

NZCAP camp

Assalamualaikum.

Hi! I just went back from a very interesting camp which called New zealand chartered accountancy pathway programme (NZCAP) camp 2. This camp was organized by kolej yayasan saad business school, melaka. We stayed at ayer keroh country resort for one night. When I first stepped into kys, my insecurity level was getting higher at all. Everyone was speaking in english. That was great actually. Automatically the surrounding in kys encouraged me to preach in english as well. Plus, kys students with blazer looked like boys over flowers. Jangan terkejut I pun layan korea okay.

Luckily I met athirah, who was my schoolmate and another two new friends. One from STF , nabilah and another one from smk melawati, aisyah. We stayed in the same room. Honestly they were really nice. We had an explorace in the evening. My group name was opocot kuasa 12. Er it seemed like obviously we were being influenced by boboiboy the movie.

At night, we had a friendly debate. Fortunately, our group leader was MCKK debater. He performed very well during the debate. Impressive! We had a really nice discussion before debating. The motion given to us was "this house believes that justin bieber is the greatest current artist". I guess there were many beliebers in my group especially girls. But i'm not!

The next morning we had an interview session. Two foreign lecturers were the panels for the interview. Alhamdulillah I got a very helpful team members. We supported each other. Even the interviewer praised us for doing a good discussion as we were not repeating the same point during the presentation.
